Job Description

Position Description: The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is looking for an experienced CRM administrator to deliver improvements to business process, operations, and automation across the Foundation. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the next generation of our Salesforce.com (SFDC) ecosystem, which includes Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, FinancialForce, and many other integrated systems. The Foundation is going through a rapid transition to a modern technology infrastructure and is looking for an individual with technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and the energy required to keep pace with and drive innovation at MDA.

Your core responsibilities will include Sales Cloud configuration, maintenance, and administration, as well as integration with marketing, fundraising, finance, and other systems. You will work closely with the CRM team and consultants to develop technology systems that improve both internal business processes and the overall experience MDA’s constituents have when interacting with the Foundation. Additionally, you will work with stakeholders across departments to develop technical requirements for business process improvements, and deliver solutions based on those requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the overall cohesiveness of the Salesforce ecosystems as it relates to data, architecture, and systems integrations
  • Ownership of all technical aspects of Salesforce.com, including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications and AppExchange products
  • Responsible for implementing customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions and initiatives
  • Seek out opportunities to utilize SFDC to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace
  • Utilize a change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications and updates to existing applications
  • Work with users to develop requirements for various initiatives, document those requirements, and build an implementation plan
  • Owns code review and testing in Sandbox environment for all customizations and configuration changes prepared internally or by outside vendors, prior to release in Production
  • Maintain system security and integrity, with regard to all user information - this includes updates; adding/removing licenses; reassigning profile information; designing, creating and maintaining roles and hierarchies; monitoring usage/storage
  • Responsible for promoting adoption by delivering exceptional user support and training
  • Develop backup and recovery plan for CRM releases involving major changes to data and/or metadata
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (A technical degree or concentration is preferred)
  • 5-7 years in Salesforce-based administration, project management, or analyst roles
  • Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud and/or a comparable marketing automation system
  • Past involvement in large-scale Salesforce.com projects
  • Experience using Salesforce ETL and other data tools (e.g. DemandTools, Data Loader, Excel Connector, Cirrus Insight, MuleSoft, Scribe, Boomi, Jitterbit, Informatica, etc.)
  • Release management experience within complex Saleforce environments
  • Ability to use VisualForce, SOQL, and APEX
  • Comfort working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other common languages
  • Experience developing custom applications and components within the Salesforce Lightning environment
  • Ability to critically review feature requests and suggest alternate proposals and optimizations as warranted
  • Certified Salesforce.com Advanced Administrator (ADM-211) or Developer (DEV-401) Certification preferred
  • In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the SFDC CRM application coupled with a good understanding around the business processes (Sales, Marketing, etc.)
  • Professional experience in a sandbox test environment, including development/staging/production (or similar) deployment cycles
