Position Description:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for effectively managing the procurement team and process resulting in cost effective service and delivery for MDA. This position reports to the Controller and will work closely with all levels of the MDA Team and assist in the collaboration of providing mission critical goods and services at a favorable cost.


  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Procurement Services to provide services to internal stakeholders by managing suppliers and developing efficient purchasing strategies which meet the budgetary and operational requirements of the association. 
  • Manage a team of 6+ procurement specialists.
  • Partner with supplier base on mission critical goods and services, achieving favorable cost and delivery terms. 
  • Collaborate in the development of training processes for services and goods.
  • Work with vendors and service providers on the implementation and cancellation of services or goods.
  • Create training processes and documentation for services or equipment provided.
  • Order and track cost of Field and National Office Capital Equipment.
  • Interact with Field Operations on field office needs for goods, services, furniture and other requirements. 
  • Coordinate account login access /login deletions national vendors such as Staples, Taylor Communications and FedEx for MDA employees. 
  • Execute purchases using Amazon Business Prime and other cost effective online sources. 
  • Follow accepted procurement practices on all transactions in an audit compliant manner. 
  • Track cost savings achieved on projects and report on a monthly basis. 
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years direct procurement or related experience.
  • Previous people management experience required.
  • Ability to manage vendors providing goods and services. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate and build relationships with all levels of MDA and outside vendors. 
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task. 
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and organize efficiently. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook and accounting applications.
